One person has died and another remains hospitalized following a large house fire Sunday night at a North Carolina property connected to NASCAR star Denny Hamlin, according to county officials, as authorities continue to investigate the cause.

Eight fire crews have been tackling a blaze at a thatched home. Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said it had been responding to a fire at a property near the A1065 in Ickburgh since about 08:10 GMT. Crews from Thetford, Methwold, Watton, King's Lynn, East Harling, Fakenham and Diss were all in attendance along with a water carrier and control unit.

Several fire departments responded to a structure fire in near Lebanon Valley Speedway. Fire broke out at a home at1930 U.S. Route 20 just after midnight, according to the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue crews battled a fire at a home in Brandon on Saturday afternoon. Firefighters used hose lines, containing the fire within approximately 20 minutes, HCFR said. Crews searched the home and confirmed that everyone inside had already evacuated. No injuries were reported.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A fire at a vacant home in Clarksville is under investigation, according to the Clarksville Fire Rescue. Crews with Clarksville Fire Rescue responded to a house fire on Creekside Drive on Wednesday at about 7:40 a.m.

Patricia Mero, 66, is the third person to have died in the fire that claimed the lives of two other people and injured 20 others.
