This is just my opinion and I don't have a way to positively confirm sales numbers, but the gaming industry appears to be making BILLIONS of dollars selling replacement controllers because they are intentionally using inferior parts that wear out, sometimes in a matter of months. Yep, in this video I take a bunch of LEGO bricks and build a working LEGO Xbox Series X. That means not only building it but also cutting holes for the buttons and ports, fitting everything inside, and, of course, made sure it worked when I was done. ►Tools & Parts I Use (paid link): https://www.amazon.com/shop/tronicsfix ►TronicsFix Game Console Repair

One of my viewers sent me this Steam Deck because playing it was negatively impacting his life. The handheld mostly works, but it’s far from perfect—the R1 button is broken and the analog stick needs replacing. It's also pretty grimy and could use some cleaning. My goal? Fix it up so someone else can enjoy playing it. Let’s bring this Steam Deck back to life. | TronicsFix

One of my viewers sent me this Xbox Series X because they tried to fix it, made it worse, and then gave up. The initial problem was an HDMI port that needed replaced but several other things were damaged in the process. Once I get it working again, I know someone whose Xbox broke that I'm going to give it to. | TronicsFix

In 2024, I sold two Xboxes I had repaired… but when the customers received them, they both said the systems didn’t work! So I had them shipped back to me to find out what happened. Did I make mistakes repairing these consoles, or was something else going on? | TronicsFix

► https://ifixit.com/tronicsfix ► iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit: Amazon (paid link) https://geni.us/90il5y These used games should sell for between $40 and $110 each - depending on the version and depending on if I can get them working again. To me they're definitely worth trying to fix both because of the potential profit and because I love trying to fix new things. Repairs include fixing various circuit board issues, removing corrosion, trying to fix someone else's failed repair attempts, etc. StezS

This videos is from a couple years ago when I got my hands on this Pokémon Emerald Game Boy Advance cartridge after a viewer bought it on Mercari but couldn’t get it working. They passed it on to me to see if I could bring it back to life. When I got it open, it was pretty messed up: damaged circuits and pads, plus several chips that needed to be carefully resoldered. I even had to add a few jumper wires to connect the broken pins on one of the chips. It wasn’t easy, but in the end this little G

Nathan bought a broken PS4 Pro to try to fix, replaced the HDMI port, and got it working... for a while. It eventually stopped working and he couldn't get it working again. So he sent it to me to see if I can fix it. Oh, and did I mention, Nathan is only 12 years old? I'm always inspired by stories from my viewers who try to fix their own electronics. It's really intimidating when you're first starting out and Nathan did a very good job with his first PS4 repair attempt. Check out our 2 desk mat

Sell me your BROKEN Pokémon games here: https://tronicsfix.com/sell-steve-your-stuff In 2022 I worked on this Pokémon Game Boy game where corrosion had eaten away the traces on the circuit board. For this fix I decided to try something new (for me): installing all the game chips and other components onto a brand new board. Even though this is from a while back, I still can't believe the repair shop didn't fix this Xbox properly. The seller of this Xbox Series X took it to a repair shop for HDMI port repair but after spending $400 it only worked for about a month before it went back to not showing an image on the screen. So I take it apart to see if we can figure out what went wrong. And get it working again, of course. | TronicsFix

The Nintendo handheld game consoles included 2 DS Lites, 1 2DS XL, 4 3DS XLs (including 2 special editions), and 2 3DSs. They were actually all in pretty good condition... but don't worry, I found things I needed to take apart, solder on, and repair. ►Our repaired consoles, etc. for sale on eBay (paid affiliate link): https://ebay.us/7L6ETW ►Tools & Parts I Use (paid link): https://www.amazon.com/shop/tronicsfix ►TronicsFix Game Console Repair Forum: https://www.tronicsfixforum.com/ 🎵 Like the

The seller told me he tried repairing this ROG Ally but he was ultimately unsuccessful. He also said it had never suffered liquid damage. But ASUS disagreed - they claimed there was liquid damage and refused to fix this handheld. So I bought it to see for myself: Is there any liquid damage? And, liquid damaged or not, can I bring it back to life? | TronicsFix

I bought every Pokémon game for the Game Boy Advance. Most of them came from Goodwill, who stated in the listings that they were either broken or untested. I'm able to fix 5 out of the 9 game cartridges which, at current eBay prices, should be worth about $700. | TronicsFix

I paid $700 for this rare, special edition white Xbox. Only 1,000 of these were sold and it was a Japan exclusive so I was really excited to be able to buy it. It won't fully start up and the hard drive is making clicking noises but I'm hopeful I can get it working again. ►TronicsFix Discord: https://discord.gg/tronicsfix ►Tools & Parts I Use (paid link): https://www.amazon.com/shop/tronicsfix ►TronicsFix Game Console Repair Forum: https://www.tronicsfixforum.com/ | TronicsFix

Over a year ago I decided to try fixing a couple power tool battery packs to see how repairable they are. It was the first time I'd tried something like this and, since sometimes the battery is the post expensive part of a power tool, I was really hoping I could get them charging and fully working again. One is a DeWALT 20V Max Lithium Ion 5 AH battery and the other is Milwaukie 18V 2AH battery pack. | TronicsFix

This video from early 2024 reminds me how much I love working on retro gaming systems. And that I definitely need to do more of them. This Nintendo Donkey Kong Junior tabletop arcade is such a cool piece of gaming history. Repairs like this are so much fun because older systems are so much different than modern consoles and it's so satisfying to get them fully working again. | TronicsFix

I think this might be my favorite repair shop scam video this year. My viewer took their PS5 to a local repair shop after the HDMI port broke. The shop charged them their normal fee and then later an additional fee to try to fix the console but were never able to actually get it working. I hate it when my viewers get scammed - but it's going to happen so we might as well get some entertainment out of seeing what happened and if I can fix it. Do you have a broken console with an interesting story

I bought 4 "refurbished" game consoles from Temu so I can see what the condition is on the outside and then open them up for a thorough inspection of the inside. Hopefully we can see what is so "refurbished" about them. The four consoles are a Switch Lite, a PS5, a Switch OLED, and a Nintendo 64. | TronicsFix

This video is from the 2nd Steam Deck I tried to fix - when they were still pretty new and finding parts was difficult. Still a fun project though. The seller said he tried to replace the SSD and ended up breaking off the speaker connector. I was hoping to be able to just replace the speaker connector but, like I said above, back in early 2023 those were difficult to buy so I had to get creative with this fix. Ever been ripped off buying a “fixable” console? I was thinking back to some of the worst times that’s happened to me and this one from early 2024 really stands out. From the moment I opened the box things were not looking good. The box wasn’t sealed properly, the bag of screws was wide open, and there was zero padding protecting the console. By the time it arrived, quite a few components had also been knocked off the board. It was a mess but I was determined to at least try to get it working ag
